By far the best option for our family while in the Hilo/Pahoa area on Big Island. Well appointed kitchen and bathrooms, comfortable beds, and beach gear at our disposal (chairs and snorkel gear). Sleeping to the sounds of the frogs and rustling palm branches in the night breeze made for a unique experience. Coffee in the morning and moonlight watching in the evening, the back lanai had room for everyone to chat together and enjoy the scape. The home was a bit warm when we arrived & opened it up, but Wyatt and JRo made sure we had plenty of fans to circulate the air in the rooms and communicated very well with us while we were there. We won’t hesitate to book this sweet spot again next time we visit Big Island!

I am so glad we chose this location for our honeymoon. What a BEAUTIFUL property. Even staying in Pahoe, we were able to get out and do many things. Where we come from, driving 30 minutes to an hour for somewhere is nothing. We made it out to Hilo quite a few times. Toured some cocoa and coffee/spice farms. Honestly, the Kona area is way too busy for our taste. Out here it’s such a breath of fresh air. Going to the local farmers market right down the road on Saturday was awesome. So much great food and fresh fruits and veggies. We enjoyed the local black sand beaches as well.

House was perfect. Obsessed with the kitchen and deck that wrapped around. I don’t think we ever closed the windows. You get a great breeze blowing through all day.

JRo was so pleasant. Loved how he would set fresh fruits and avocados on our porch almost daily and ask us if we needed anything when he made trips to town.

This place is truly amazing! We stayed for 5 nights with our 4 year old and our infant. It was a perfect base for us to explore this side of Big Island. Very well equipped kitchen, huge bathtub, toto toilet seats ;-)… But the nicest part of the house is definitely the covered deck that looks out onto the amazing garden.

It’s a bit of a drive from the main hub (Pāhoa), but totally worth it. The area is very secluded and special. The black sand beach is a (very) short walk away. JRo answered all our questions and needs promptly. Five stars, no doubt!

This is a magical place where you’d be lucky to spend your vacation hanging out. It feels like a very fancy jungle tree house. JRo and Wyatt have thought of everything so you can completely relax and take in the gorgeous garden, nearby beach, and local hikes. We were traveling with our kids and they had the time of their lives catching lizards and tagging along behind JRo in the garden. It was easy to get to the National Park to check out the volcano. We also enjoyed poking around the local farmers markets and getting some delicious meals in Pahoa.

This is a really special spot. First of all, this house has the most incredible tropical garden ever. The kitchen is stocked with anything you could need. The location is really special and feels far away from all the business of hilo, while close enough to markets and anything else you would need. It’s about an 8 minute walk from a black sand beach. Don’t bother bringing your swimsuit. Wyatt was a wonderful host and the groundskeeper, Jro, maintain the property immaculately. Also they were always available if we ever needed anything and responded within minutes.

Beautiful new home in a very special location. It is fairly remote, but amazing, close to black beach and hot ponds!

The kitchen and equipment is really great, and the balcony perfect for outdoor eating. Gardens are incredible..beautiful.

One of the best Airbnb’s we have stayed at, great hosts, especially JRo on premises. Thank you for making our stay do special.

A sophisticated and appropriately chic interior, in keeping with the island style.

Great as a two couple destination….

Tropical Paradise: We had an amazing stay at this gorgeous home. It is beautifully designed, new, modern, clean, cozy, and fully stocked. It has a well-appointed kitchen and a gorgeous covered wrap-around deck with multiple seating areas. We felt at home right away!
This home was perfect for our family of four! It is surrounded by an incredibly well-maintained and lush tropical garden. It’s a short walk to an exotic black sand beach.
Jro, the host, was fabulous, super helpful, very responsive to our questions, and provided us with local tips, expertise, and recommendations.
We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

This fabulously decorated house had unexpected touches. We streamed music on the Alexa, enjoyed looking at the garden with our fresh ground coffee during breakfast, and had wonderful suggestions of things to do from the caretaker, JRO. Wyatt and JRO were very accommodating regarding our late arrival. We felt at home. Thank you for your hospitality (and cookie recipe).
